Dmitry Druzhinsky Hosts Wall Ball Tournament Fighting Obesity

Business experts, journalists, politicians, celebrities, and sports fans gather each year to take in the fast-paced competition. Founded in 2015, local leaders from Brooklyn and the Bronx have been smashing the ball to the wall in the Johnny Ray Memorial Pro Wall Ball Tournament at MatchPoint NYC. As noted by co-founder Dmitry Druzhinsky, this cross-town rivalry is led by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and places inner-city and under-served youth in physical activity, while benefiting the U.S. Wall Ball Association’s education, anti-violence and anti-obesity campaigns. The tournament first played in 2012 to celebrate the life of Jonathan Ray, the late brother of the USWA CEO, and the inspiration for the association. Dmitry appreciates the opportunity to support organizations promoting a healthy lifestyle to the complex.
